Nikos was born in Athens Greece but most of his early childhood was spent with his dad, a merchant marine captain traveling around the world. When back home he would listen for hours to his father’s beloved Latin American record collection. At age thirteen he discovered rhythm & blues and picked up his first guitar. Nikos knew there would be no turning back; music would be the focal point of his life.
He formed numerous bands playing Rock & Blues covers & originals but unfortunately at the age of nineteen he was drafted into the armed forces, stalling his musical career.

After his three-year stint, Nikos went on to study filmmaking in the U.K, but his desire to make it as a musician became his primary motivating force. He began creating his own sounds influenced by artists as diverse as Brian Eno, Prince and The Clash. He moved to Bristol and played bass & trumpet with bands like Soul In Motion and got involved with a lot of the musicians who formed what was known as the “Bristol Sound”. Unfulfilled but still looking for that perfect sound he stumbled upon a mixed CD by Roger Sanchez. Suddenly the sound he was searching for had been revealed. Something that incorporated Jazz, Funk, Soul and Blues…
It was called House Music!

He went back to Greece were he began Djing.

He established a residency at the legendary Yazz Club on the island of Santorini, playing deep Soulful House right on the beach.
In the winter, he became the resident DJ on Fridays & Saturdays at The Loop, one of Athens’ hottest spots, playing a blend of Garage & Minimal Techno.

Nikos went on to become one of Greece’s’ hottest DJ’s.

In 1998 Nikos relocated to Los Angeles. Since then, he has established himself as one of LA’s finest DJ’s & Producers. He developed a regular guest spot at the legendary “Does Your Mama Know?” after hours, a residency at Organic/FunkiTeknoTribe in San Francisco, and regularly appeared all over the United States & Europe. In the winter of 2002 Nikos formed Under My Skin Records, one of the most respected record labels in the global House scene today. His first underground hits “Yes Lord” and a few months later ‘Speaking In Tongues”, created a buzz in New York City and then later internationally. Niko’s work has since been re-released by Sony, Defected, Slip & Slide, Universal and DJ’s like Roger Sanchez, Jellybean Benitez & Tony Humphries play his music. Niko’s cut “Bright Like A Star” was snatched up by Roger Sanchez for his Release Yourself 4 compilation, on his Amsterdam based Stealth Records imprint. His remake of the Al Green hit “Let’s Stay Together” (featuring Nita), blew up at the 2005 Winter Music Conference, and continues to get heavy spins on Dance Radio internationally. In addition, Niko’s very Tribal remix of Deep and Dense “After Midnight” (Stealth Records) was circulated among the top DJ’s around the world.

Nikos has newly relocated to Atlanta where he is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album Nikos Presents “Nu Spirituals”. He is also working on several projects with T. Mo (of the ATL. Hip Hop heavyweights the Goodie Mob). He continues to pump out remix and production projects when not spinning locally and around the world. Nikos also works on Sound design for Japanimation. His work appears on shows like Tunami on the Cartoon Network. His versatility as an artist is what makes Nikos stand out from the
