SERENA CALO
Made an impact early in her career promoting parties at the The Grand, Tunnel, Nells, Arena, Club USA and Studio 54 in New York in the early 90’s. Her parties and events in that era contributed to shaping the New York club scene. This phase in her career would become instrumental in building personal relationships with some of the top producers, label executives, and DJ’s in the world.
She later promoted the Roger Sanchez “Secret Sessions” and the early “Release Yourself” parties. Serena learned the ins and outs of the music business and founded Newlite Muzik in 1995. Well respected in the Dance Music community, Serena currently oversees all A&R, remix, production and international licensing, publishing deals and artist bookings for Newlite Muzik Management/Records and its artist roster.
Serena has a keen ability to spot talent and evaluate music and still keeps her love for music as the primary motivation for operating Newlite Muzik.
